Castleton Square Mall is was an extensive, new open-air Lifestyle expansion. A ‘Garden’ theme was established for the two new mall entrance areas, with unique paving patterns and integral pavement colors threaing the continuity of the space together. The new main mall entrance hosts a centralized English Garden consisting of raised stone planters that encompass a classic three tiered fountain and pool. As the main focal feature, the fountain introduces the soothing sound of water, kinetic activity, and a place to meet and rest within the heavily planted surroundings. A waterfall and pool basin direct shoppers into the new western mall entrance, with patio tables, a raised fire pit, and lush landscaped planter beds framing the colored pavement. Store fronts are accented by a large variety of planter pots, post lamps, landscape lighting, hanging baskets and a comprehensive sound system. Large sized trees, native shrubs, and masses of native floweing perennials also line the parking lots and entry drives throughout. All the landscape plantings and beds utilize a ‘green’ and environmentally friendly drip irrigaion system throughout.
